Post subject:  Dinner Train Chef - Full Time Year Around Position

The family owned and operated Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad is seeking a passionate, hard working chef to run America's Only Bed & Breakfast Dinner Train. This full time - year around position is perfect for the person that wants to create special memories for our guests.

The train operates five days per week, Tuesday through Saturday evenings. The three hour trip features a five course meal beginning with an hors d'oeuvre which the chef can change nightly. Dinner continues with a dinner salad, soup, a choice of five entrees and ends with a succulent dessert. The train features full bar service and is a combination of guests staying overnight on board and those coming just for dinner. The railroad also operates a local motel and offers a popular dinner train/motel package. The train features a 1914 Pullman private car for first class, several traditional Pullman sleepers, a tavern lounge and an ex-Amtrak buffet diner. All meal preparation takes place on board the train.

This is a great opportunity for the candidate that has a passion for creating in the kitchen and a love of trains. This is a career position and a chance to join a close knit family as we continue to grow. We have been operating for 21 years and recently built a completely new passenger station and yard and are currently in the planning stages for the construction of a new shop facility. We also have a full dining car ready to go into the shop for completion and this is your opportunity to help design a brand new kitchen.
