Post subject:  GE 80 Ton Locomotive need to sell

FOR SALE:

I need to get this locomotive sold as a complete locomotive or part it out. If you are interested, in the complete locomotive or parts of the locomotive, please contact me.

1952 GE 80 ton centercab locomotive;

Locomotive has;
Cummins NT 855 engines rated at 335 hp. with turbochargers.
GE 5GT569B1 main generators.
GE 747 traction motors with GE GA-22 gearboxes.
Locomotive is on friction bearings.
Wheels are 1 5/6", 1 11/16", 1 11/16" and 2 11/16".
Air compressors are Gardner-Denver "ADS".
14EL brake system.

Locomotive has added ballast and will weigh 85 plus or minus tons.
The diesel engines need a little work and the locomotive may have a failed traction motor.

This may be a control circuit problem, contactor for the rear traction motors are not engaging.

Price is $35,000 as is.

No.

I sold this locomotive to a party 14 years ago and have maintained it since. I became to small for their operation.

Recently had a buyer, but they decided it was too small for their operation.
