Greetings,

I'm trying to find a museum or an organization that needs parts for a two truck Lima-Shay. I am part of a project at the Canada Science & Technology Museum that is ceaning up their surplus railway collection. The parts parts are deemed surplus to the museum's needs and they would love to transfer the said parts to a museum or organization that would find a need for them.

There are other parts from the Shay parts that could be useful in other steam applications, please have a look at the photos.

Also included but not photograph is a horizontal main crankshaft.

Hi Archbar,

Thanks for the heads up!

I’m sure I’m not the only one who would like to know if all the Nathan injectors are the same size and if so what size are they?
Do all the items have to go as one lot to one organization or can items be requested individually?

Thanks again,

Cityzoo

The heading for this thread is perhaps a bit unfortunate as the only specifically Shay parts are that in fact available are a pair of short shaft couplings that I suspect are probably from a three truck Shay (see image). The other Shay parts that appear in previously posted images are being retained as spares.

P.S. The Injectors are all No 7's, and they don't all have to go to the same home.

The Libby Heritage Museum is working on restoring a Lima 2-truck Shay. They might be able to use some of the parts you have on their Shay.
