Post subject:  Heavy Weight Pullmans to be Parted Out

By way of the acquisition of DABO, Inc. (Orrville, OH) by the Orrville Railroad Heritage Society, we have on-site two PRR heavy weight MOW bunk cars that we'll make available for parts (at reasonable prices - make yer offers) before the cars are scrapped sometime in the near future.

Per Ted Brumberg's Pullman list, the cars are:

Trenton (Lot #4699, Plan #2410H, 1923, 12S-1DR)--sold to PRR #8960 (1948) re-designated dormitory #6718 (1950) transferred to MofW department as bunk car #492908 (when??) acquired by DABO, Inc. (when??) DABO acquired by ORHS (2015)

Parkesburg (Lot #4894, Plan #3410A, 1925, 12S-1DR, ex-Martha Washington [1st])--sold to PRR #8868 (1948) renamed from Martha Washington (1st) to Parkesburg (1951) transferred to MofW department as bunk car #492859 (1962) acquired by DABO, Inc. (when??) DABO acquired by ORHS (2015)

The cars are on the ground - no trucks, sorry. Interiors: lockers, bunk frames, some possibly original woodwork, etc. Some images are available. The cars are in fairly poor condition and are magnets for critters and vagrants, hence the need to dispose of them. You'd need some pretty hefty coin if you wanted to make them serviceable.

PM me if you have a specific request.
