Hi to all
We are restoring the above plan 320 1st class car ex DT&FW 45, UPD&G 731, C&S 513. Does anyone know of drawing details for the toilet arrangments, the ladies was bigger than the gents and had 2 side windows, we have a cross section drawing and frame and bodyside drawings but dont know the style/construction, of the toilet walls and doors. Also any details of a typical period toilet setup inc water tank etc. Does anyone remanufacture the twin gas hurricane lamps with four supports ?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Mike:

Do you have a copy [or reprint] of the 1879 Car Builder's Dictionary? It will have at least some of the info you're looking for:

Thanks Doug,
I have reposted this enquiry already, we have 1879,1888 and 1906 dictionaries and they are a great help. However we still need asome idea of the toilet wall arrangement for our car or similsr cars. Thanks for the help. Our car can be seen at

I believe the Illinois Railroad Museum has many Pullman records. They might be able to help.

http://www.irm.org or go directly to the Pullman Library page at http://www.irm.org/history/pullmanlibrary.html
