I don't know the overall condition of this engine but it seems like it would have been a good candidate for Delaware-Lackawanna Railway in Scranton, with their obvious emphasis on and love for ALCO's. It would make a good companion to their ancient EMC SW1. markloff@telus.net |

Yes it might have except fot the fact that the 426 generally does not operate very much. 600 HP doesn't pull many loaded 110 ton grain hoppers which is the D-L's bread and butter these days. superheater@rrmail.com |
