NOTICE OF SALE:

CNYNRHS has deaccessioned this former Pennsylvania Dining Car #4487 and is being offered for sale AS-IS and WHERE-IS. It is located at our Martisco Station Museum in Marcellus, NY and available for inspection by appointment.

It was acquired by the Chapter as a display car in 1978 from Penn Central who had converted it into a Maintenance-Of-Way car #28074. The kitchen and interior furnishings were removed by Penn Central. It has been most recently used for storage.

It is currently located adjacent (within 15 feet) to the ROW of Finger Lakes Railway; a regional short line that interchanges with CSX and Norfolk Southern and sits on a dedicated track.

CNYNRHS is seeking best cash offer. Buyer will be responsible for any and all costs associated with its removal and transportation.

CNYNRHS is a non-profit 501c3 and not in the position to donate or part the car out unless it is our only option beyond scrapping it in-place. CNYNRHS is considering any offers made. Upon acceptance of offer, a legal sales contract will be signed by both the seller and the buyer.

CNYNRHS has set a 31st December, 2024 deadline for offers and will agree to a full year to move the car after the sales contract has been signed.
