Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to officially announce the existence of a project we have been working on at the Nickel Plate Historical Society for a few months now: The Nickel Plate Archive.

https://archive.nkphts.org/

The NKP Archive contains thousands of NKP and NKP Adjacent images categorized by location, equipment type, and more.

If you are a Nickel Plate fan, or even have a passing interest in it, it's a great way to spend a bunch of time when you're supposed to be working.

Enjoy!

You're welcome, and we're just getting started. Lots more great stuff to come.

Huge archive, covering decades of the NKP! Best is, it's free and available for research and railfans. This is more of what our hobby needs. Thanks so much!

The Willis McCaleb images of 759 in the 1968-70 period are a real time machine: young Ross, young Doyle, Pop Moses, Joe Karal, Bob Claytor and a young Preston (?), Don Wood and Don Smith at Ogden, on and on. Even shots from the B&O dome car of the "chase" by the Island Airlines Ford Tri-motor chartered by Mike Eagleson, Victor Hand, and others. Amazing stuff.
