For all you Pullman fans out there there is a long article about the Pullman Villa Real in the new Summer Issue of the Illinois Railway Museum's Rail & Wire mazazzine.

The private owner spent years restoring the sleeping car from Wasbash MOW service before donating it to the Illinois Railway Museum. As their home town builder; I guess IRM figures that they can never have enough Pullman cars; especially one as well restored as it is!

After WWII the car was used in Tourist Class; an economy class for Pullman travelers who were going to Florida in the winters. It was a place for Pullman to use their non air-conditioned sleeping cars. The car was also down in Mexico.

Today the car even has the wood grain back in the sleeping sections. And lots of Pullman equipment. The cars call board was rescued from a trash pile.
