Location: Shingle Springs, California
Alna, Maine: On Sunday, August 14, 2022, the Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway (WW&F) will stage a photo special. Cost: $80.00 per person. Details follow:

This all day photographer's special will be the first opportunity to capture the WW&F in the most spectacular setting yet - the challenging 4% "mountain" grade, the Trout Brook boxed-pony covered bridge, and the turntable and facilities at Trout Brook.

This event caps off the opening festivities, and to celebrate, this photo train will feature an all-historic WW&F consist, including coach 3, box car 309, and of course, locomotive #9.

Photographers will be allowed to scope out shots over the entire mountain grade, then reposition as they wish between multiple runbys. This will allow everyone to "spread out" since there are few clear shots that could accommodate everyone.

Once we've satisfied everyone on the Mountain and at Trout Brook, we'll hit the other popular photo spots, based on photographer request, lighting conditions, etc.

This train will NOT be returning to Sheepscot mid-day for servicing. Please bring a lunch.

The photographer's special will run one day only, August 14, 2022. Attendance is limited to 25 participants. The train will depart Sheepscot station (97 Cross Road, Alna, Maine) at 9:00 AM and conclude around 2:00 PM.

• The WW&F mainline is not accessible from public vantage points - so no "chasers" will be interfering with operations.

• Photographers are welcome to arrive early to observe the morning fire up of #9 and/or stay into the twilight as the trains are switched away and the fires dropped.
