Preserved wood boxcar with unusual ends in Michigan

I'm glad to hear that folks in Taylor and Baltimore had better luck with their Hutchins-end PM cars than we did. We were given one that had been used for salt storage at Saginaw and decided it couldn't economically be saved. A fragment of one end survives as a shed at the SRI shop at Owosso. There were quite a few of these cars at Ludington 30 years ago but all are gone.

I'd pay money to see the target-end car.

Just saw a photo on the internet showing new wood slats replacing those where the bunk car windows were located. Assume that is on one side of this automobile boxcar only (as explained above), but don't know that for sure.
