Post subject:  New Haven brick depot saved!

Always like to post some positive news when I can. Some time back, I read about the brick train depot in New Haven, Vermont as being in danger of demolition. Can't recall where I read it; possibly here on RyPN, but I can't find any reference to it. The depot was in an awkward main line location near a major highway, which seemed to preclude a move that would preserve the structure. The building HAD to be moved as an upcoming AMTRAK service, needed a change in the track structure. Now it seems that it HAS been moved; to a frozen farm field temporarily with a future move to a more permanent site. Not sure of the stations railroad history. Perhaps someone might have some info.
