I think you're thinking of the Escanaba & Lake Superior Railroad - also in Michigan.

First and foremost, I'm so sorry for the loss to the family and to the rail preservation community. May Mr. Jones forever rest in peace. God bless you.

Second, I know that the Mineral Range Railroad purchased Soo Line F-21-S class 2-8-0 #2425 in 2018 and moved it to Ishpeming in 2019. Do they still have plans to restore #2425 to operation after things settle down?

The late Mr. Jones never owned the Baldwin Sharks (that anyone ever claimed--though sometimes in these cases "ownership" is a fuzzy moving target.....), but in recent years he did own (or at least was said to have owned) ex-C&NW 4-6-0 175 (now at Steam Railroading Institute), former PRR doodlebug 4668, a former CB&Q gas-electric car, and some other pieces. A search on "Clint" in this forum will pull up past discussions over twenty years or more.

Some of his former pieces, like C&NW 175, ended up elsewhere, and a few other pieces are now supposedly in the "top secret lair" somewhere in Michigan's U.P. along with the Baldwin Sharks and/or other preservation jewels/oddities........
