The Colfax Railroad Museum takes great pleasure in announcing that we were the recipient of one of sixty FY2020 Inspire! Grants for Small Museums from the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS)to provide appropriate shelving and flat cases for our library and drawings archive and installation of environmental monitors and controls to ensure that collection remains available for future generations. This is the culmination of a four year effort to secure funding for this work after we acquired the wooden 1898 depot in Colfax that was damaged by a tornado strike in 2014.
