When the movie Iron Horse opened in Seattle in August 1925 an old New York EL 0-4-4 was painted up and ran down the streetcar tracks in front of the theater to advertise it. In Portland, OR they loaded Oregon Pony on a cart and dug it past the theater. https://oregondigital.org/catalog/orego ... :df738s71j Were old locomotives paraded through the streets in other cities to advertise the movie? |
