There has been lots happening in the great Northwest, but everything is on a bit of a hiatus with everyone ordered to stay home for a few weeks. A few key staff remain in the office to ensure everything remains secure and all ready to start up again as soon as it is deemed safe to do so. Notwithstanding, it has actually been a productive winter. Here are a few recent online posts highlighting some of the work; please enjoy some positive stories about rail preservation:

Rehabilitation of steam locomotive 924:

Replacement rail at Snoqualmie Falls:

Storm-related damage repaired:

Rehabilitation work on coach 213:

New shelving added to the archival vault:

Naturally, like nearly every other museum we are financially broke. We have no admissions, no ticket sales, and no gift shop sales. We do not know when we can reopen; all museums were ordered closed here two weeks ago. Yet we remain optimistic and would be grateful for your support: https://shop.trainmuseum.org/Donations.aspx Contributions to the Crisis Fund will help support the Museum until it can reopen. Contributions to the Steam Locomotive fund will allow work on the 924 to continue - two collections people remain working for now.

I wish all of you the best for continued good health.

I am interested in their wood passenger car collection and view the Blog regularly. If you have time on your hands, like so many right new, give the web site or Facebook pages a look.
