Needing a little help here. We have a Caban Caboose stove that runs horribly. MP Caboose 13562. Doing a little research here, I've found the Cabin manual (thank you to jayrod, E.B. Lavin, and bigeprod.com!). Per the manual, we should have two rings in the burner, but we only have the lower one, it is damaged, not cast iron, and the top ring is missing.

My first question is would anyone have a Vapor Part Number 55-13 Pilot Ring and / or a PN 55-16 Burner Ring stashed you might be willing to part with? If so please PM me.

Conversely, would anyone be willing to measure the inner and outer diameter of their top Burner Ring and let us all know what those measurements are? And yes, I know what I am asking, for someone to coat their arm / sleeve / hand / glove in that nasty carbon black soot. To do so, I would be very grateful!

Thank you. I frequently don't think to look to FB Marketplace when looking for stuff like this, while at the same time I am aware of at least an SW9 locomotive and a Sedalia built MoP transfer caboose for sale right now. And Cameron, MO is relatively very close.

I will post back with the size of the top ring.

A friend of mine and a fellow caboose owner just had two burners fabricated for himself and another. They are for the San O Cab model.

I wonder if it would be feasible to retrofit one of these stoves with a different type of burner since finding replacement parts is just about impossible. Has anyone done a successful refit?
