The Dodge Truck Special Paint Colors collection does include Omaha Orange as Chrysler DT5077... https://paintref.com/cgi-bin/paintdetai ... ode=DT5077 The Lehigh Valley may be the only railroad entity which used both WE5884 and WE5880. WE5880 does generally appear to be slightly more orange compared to WE5884 so it may be a little more heavily tinted in that direction as well. Chrysler DT3031 is a later Socony-Mobil bright red which is a very good match to DuPont 58209 Chevy Truck Cardinal Red in the 1967 brochure but that color's supposed to be DT3144... LOL https://paintref.com/cgi-bin/paintdetai ... ode=DT3031 Then, I tried to adjust the truck picture to match the raw paint samples picture since we know exactly which colors, DT5077 and WE5884, they're supposed to be...

Cardinal Red is a Soo Line color and chances are pretty good the Canadian Pacific uses it as well... https://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcoded ... ny&rows=50

Yeah, that could be Cardinal Red on the Jersey Central or perhaps even Scarlet since they're almost identical to each other but we'll save that one for later...

Meanwhile, the previous Soo Line red color would appear to be Swift Red or something almost identical to it... LOL

Now, I wasn't lying to Sammy when I mentioned that Swift Red is like a typical fire engine red. Swift Red is at the bottom on the left side of the center fold next to the punch hole. The very similar American LaFrance Red is there also along with a lot of others of varying shades. Texas Red, a.k.a Texaco Fire Chief Red, DuPont 674, was the most popular red color for emergency vehicles at the time of printing according to the brochure. None of the light and bright reds like Scarlet and Cardinal Red are present, however...

Hey, at least the yellow isn't too hard to identify... LOL As far as the maroon goes, let's start with Ford Mandarin/Monsoon Maroon...

Ford Monsoon Maroon, DuPont 93-32250-M, is the darkest maroon featured in the 1954 catalog as Plate No. 57. Plate No. 56, the next lightest, is Dodge Truck Rio Maroon, DuPont 93-81371-M... https://www.paintref.com/cgi-bin/paintd ... =93-32250M https://www.paintref.com/cgi-bin/paintd ... =93-81371M Dodge Truck Rio Maroon seems to be working the best with attempted dual chip matches like this one with GMC Venetian Yellow slightly compensated for fading...

I should've maintained a safe distance from the maroon but too late now... Anyway, here's another one, 1942 Ford/Mercury Moselle Maroon which is a bit lighter than Monsoon Maroon... https://paintref.com/cgi-bin/paintdetai ... =91-23136M

Studebaker Winetone Maroon, DuPont 246-35987-M, is about as dark as Ford Monsoon Maroon... https://paintref.com/cgi-bin/paintdetai ... 246-35987M There's not much of it left on this 1947 Champion but it is original...

My new/old railroad paint color thinking cap is maroon. LOL Encycolorpedia has Dodge Truck Rio Maroon as a three degree red so if that's accurate, it's basically a very dark version of Scarlet and Swift Red... https://encycolorpedia.com/51100c This minimally upsaturated photo of #201C appears to be right there...

The only problem that remains is that the Soo's F-3's were delivered in early 1948 and Dodge Truck Rio Maroon didn't exist before the 1949 model year on Plymouths, or did it? This took a little bit of moderate sunshine and new batteries in the Maglite, but it turns out Ford/Mercury Moselle Maroon and Plymouth/Dodge Truck Rio Maroon are the exact same color...
