The West Coast Railway Association will be revealing the paint job on the exCN FP9A 6520 this Sunday at 2pm at the museum in Squamish, BC. Light snacks will be provided as well as a slide show. Rapido Trains Inc. will also be present at the event.

What does everyone want to see?

I would like to see the 1961 scheme:

Kudos on going to the extra effort of removing the Farr grilles before prepping and painting.

Christian Vazzaz That's great news.
Seeing as WCRA is Home to the Hudson, in my mind, a steam-era paint scheme would be appropriate.

You guys did a fantastic job on that! As soon as I heard that Rapido Trains was going to be at the unveiling, I suspected this was the paint scheme.

Fantastic work - congratulations.
I grew up with CNR steam when 4-8-2 No. 6069 was a daily sight at 85 mph in her lovely green, then the GMD 6500s and MLW 6700s in the green and gold with the maple leaf.
However, 6520 looks brilliant in the Rapido colours. That was a glowing time for CN passenger services - Red, White & Blue Days, Rapidos, then Tempos and Turbos.
Somewhere, I have a few shots of at least one FP9 in a gray scheme. CN (or Via-CN?) messed with that briefly and a few coaches had it.

I agree completely, she looks and sounds fantastic!

I too suspected that this would be the scheme, it is not exactly a secret that Jason Schron is a huge fan of CN's grey/black/red-orange paint.

Regarding the grey/yellow test scheme, VIA applied these colours to FP9 6532 and a couple coaches, as a test for a potential scheme for the yet-to-be-delivered LRC's:

Very nice. Well done.
The last time I was there, it looked like this, in black primer.

The local Squamish Chief newspaper published this rather nice shot of the new scheme.

Any idea why they changed the numberboards?

To backdate it to the paint scheme would be my guess.
