Does anyone have adjustment info on starter clutch between the pony motor and D13000. The lever can go "over center" and it quits driving (cranking) - The Bendix engagement is fine - no issues there Thanks john@dalt.us

Should be a pin on the back of the pressure plate. Pull it out and rotate the plate clockwise looking toward the front of the engine. When adjusted properly the lever will snap in fairly hard. Make sure the pin drops back in when done adjusting. However going over center does not bode well, clutch disk could very well be shot. Never slip a Cat pony motor clutch snap it in quick. Everything on the pony was built to handle a lot more power than the engine can generate except the clutch.

There is a guy on YouTube - Squatch253 . He restores and works on older cat equipment and has a bunch of videos on pony motors and drives. I don't think he has any videos on Cat D13000's but maybe the same principals are the same?
