The DOT website is back up. Those who previously had accounts set up should have no difficulty logging in.

When viewing a report you first see the electronic transcription of the PDF of the file copy of the investigation. Then if you click on the PDF icon at the top of the page you will get a window to open or save the PDF of the file copy.

While the PDF may be of a one of the carbon copies of the original typed report, it may be useful to look at if the electronic transcription had a problem reading the PDF. The human brain might do better than the electronic program.

A competent transcriptionist would have no issue entering the data without errors.
