A friend have privately asked me, "Has anyone begged the RR on Facebook to operate a charter or regular passenger run with the 20 before it's sent back to Colorado?"

That's the joke........... The overzealous "foamers" prevalent in many Facebook groups wouldn't think that through.

A charter with RGS 20? Of course it was a joke. What was serious a few years ago was some newspaper reporter's idea for getting more NJ Transit trains into New York. Why not divert some NJ Transit trains to the PATH tunnels? Had no clue that they wouldn't fit-

I know of a place not that far away where you could. The late Dave Boyer and I used to joke about that.

And we have another winner from Lynn and Kelly and the rest for steam!

She'll look great when things are finally done; I just wish we still had the RGS for her to run on.

Speaking of "Ticket To Tomahawk," whatever happened to RGS 20's stunt double? The one that later became the ultimate "Petticoat Junction" trivia answer.

The Durango Railroad Historical Society acquired it, placed it in the shelter that had housed D&RGW #315, and restored it. See:
Durango RR Historical Society - Emma Sweeny

Chris, many thanks for the info and links. Interesting stuff.

Would love to see the RGS 20 make a return trip to Silverton.
