I filmed another video today and once it gets uploaded to Youtube I'll post the link here.

We put the cab on yesterday. Installing piping to begin one day this week.

Congrats to Rick and the crew on the first test run of the 58! It was wonderful to hear her whistle and see her operate for the first time.

Rick and crew deserve a big, heartfelt congratulations for restoration of a lost link between steelmaking and railroading. The area of Pennsylvania where I’ve always lived was the heart of steel production until the 1980’s. Pittsburgh, Johnstown and Latrobe are all within a 45 mile drive.

Once the operating schedule for J&L #58 is finalized, the Youngstown Steel Heritage Museum should reach out to the regional tourist and steel heritage agencies in my area and promote their unique learning opportunities!

Congrats to Rick and crews for the vision and execution. Track work should go quickly. The video almost hides the "mass" and makes it look like backyard zoo locomotive chugging around. Oohrah. Regards, John.

For such a small locomotive, that steamer sure has a lot of get-up-and-go! Excellent work Rick and the gang!

I'm thinking it will look more massive once they are certain that everything is functioning properly and they can put the saddle tank back on. Great temporary cistern.
