Last Wednesday's meeting at the Queen Anne's Railroad Society saw a change of president (via election last year) from Royden Powell to Dan Worth. Royden has been leading the QARRS as president since 2012 and saw the incorporation of the society, pitched the idea of community sponsors for our annual Festival of Trains event, which became a MASSIVE success, and finally helped to begin negotiations with Queen Anne's County in our potential rehabilitation and eventual use of the Centreville Freight Station at it's current home in the Bloomfield Farm park. Royden will continue to lead our freight station project. Dan Worth was the society's secretary and webmaster. Barry Sheehe was elected to fill in the role of secretary and Dan Worth assigned myself to a public relations committee, which assumes the role of webmaster. http://www.qarrs.org/ |
