Wait - why in the world did it go up to Selkirk, and then back down again through Langhorne/Woodbourne???

We still don't know its destination. Looks like they managed to wreck one of the number boards.

It's most likely destination is Belington, WV. There is a yard there with a lot of D&GVRR's stored coaches and engines including a turntable.

At least that's the way it should work!

Last time we tried to move locomotives thru Cumberland it took them 2 weeks! 615 has, on paper, been on the move since March. Of course CSX has moved it MUCH faster than SEPTA.

Maybe We'll have it in Belington before January is over!

I didn't see Q317 last night as they had a very late call... It may well be in Grafton by now.

The old girl's had quite a life journey to get where she is. It's pretty amazing that LIRR collected most, if not all the surviving ALCO FA's remaining in storage or service, converted them into power cabs, and with the loss of only a few due to fire or wreck damage, sold them to a broker who is restoring four of them, and has sold the others to potential preservationist groups or museums. That 615 survives is doubly amazing, having come so close to the the fate of and F7 relative.
It may well be that this board played an extraordinary role in seeing her not scrapped. I hope so.

I think 615 owes you its life:

Where did you get wind of its impending scrapping BTW?

Thank you, but perhaps the praise is not entirely mine. A good friend living in the area got wind of it and told me about the impending scrapping. I put it on here in hopes of intervention by some individual with the means and desire to prevent the loss. A lot of people made the discussion topical and some good came out of it. I'm happy to say, we all own a small piece of that salvation, but the lion's share belongs to whoever wrote the check, and to a scrap dealer who could see the larger picture.
