In 1969, the handwriting was on the wall for railroad passenger service and Bob Hughes realized there was "No Time to Waste." Join Bob as he travels by train across the U.S. and Canada in the days before Amtrak and VIA, today on The Trackside Photographer.

With all of the neglected historical railroad artifacts that are in either now or never situations with their preservation this title for 50 year old photos seems a little dramatic.
The oldest steam locomotive west of the Mississippi has no historic protections covering it. It is owned by the UT system. I always worry about the future of this locomotive.
