The restoration of the interior and exterior of Capital Traction Company 27 in its 1930s livery is nearing completion at National Capital Trolley Museum. The beautiful varnished interior highlights the few surfaces painted in ivory and gray. The final touch is adding newly upholstered seating in textured dark green as shown. Capital Traction Company 27 entered service at the end of World War I and served the Nation's Capital through the end of World War II. Help the Museum get it ready for its 100th anniversary.

This opportunity is a double match.

Individual gifts to Power 2 Give (P2G) at the link below earn a County match up to the amount the County has offered. The total proceeds of the P2G campaign (County + individual) then count toward meeting the 20th Century Electric Railway Foundation match.

We have less than $2,000 to go to meet our match from the 20th Century Electric Railway Foundation!

Thank you to all who donated.

Wesp, is there any level of donation that will let the lucky donor operate the car, under proper supervision, of course?
