Cooperstown and Charlotte Valley fired up the prime mover on one of their two units. The ex-Amtrak 484 is operating in Canada now.

That’s the one. Thanks, Jason. How about the former Maine Eastern units?

They appear to be at the Whippany Railway Museum in Whippany, NJ.
I am glad I had the opportunity to ride the Maine Eastern back in 2005, behind #489.

Here is a photo of the two FL9's from January of 2018.

The M&E 488 and 489 are good maintained units that just currently have no need or place to run. I expect them to stick around stored for awhile, unless something happens to them like vandalism and wind up scrapped like the RS11 M&E had.

Keep in mind that ex-Metro North 2008 is still around too, tucked away privately owned in Ohio. 2008 was retired and being sold for scrap until someone stepped up who prefers not to be in the lime light. Like RMNE's 2033, 2008 is one of the more unchanged/modified units. It's NOT at LTE!

All of the Starships are long scrapped.

FL9AC "Starships" sitting in the deadline waiting to be scrapped. Two units were sent to LIRR and quickly returned when proved unsatisfactory.

"Yes, that's a tree growing inside the cab. These FL9AC's were used on the Long Island Rail Road for a couple of years to haul the new double-deck coaches until the DM30's arrived. LIRR 301 was originally NH 2000, the first FL9 ever built. Both units were rebuilt by Republic Locomotive in 1991, retired in 1999, and scrapped in 2005."

"2005: Looking like a monster took a big bite for breakfast, FICX begins the scrapping process in the old Croton East Yard. The prime movers in these locomotives were like new (from 1995 and not many miles), and were salvaged for resale."

"2010: FICX FL9 2008, F10 411 and 410 at CSX Croton West Yard awaiting shipment out to scrap. Sad end to engines that had a very long service life... All good things must come to an end, however."

I would have thought someone would want the nine year-old 710s, if nothing else.

The M&E units have been used on the Whippany Railway Museum's Polar Express trains.
Where in Ohio did #2008 end up?

The answer to your question can be found in the selected quote. I would assume the owner doesn’t want to advertise.
