In 2002 the Rarus had five ex-BA&P box car on Fox trucks. One (# 22) went to the Orange Empire Ry Museum in 2010. What happened to the rest?

Here is a summation of what I have found.

PRESERVED FOX TRUCKS

Samson Fox patented his pressed steel truck in England in 1889 and in the US in 1894. First marketed in the US in 1886 the Fox truck became quite popular as an alternative to the archbar truck. Having only four parts it was much simpler to manufacture. It became disliked because of its rigidity and was replaced by cast side frame trucks.

I believe the Fox trucks at RMLI are at their museum in Greenport, NY, not Riverhead. They're visible in Google Streetview at https://www.google.com/maps/@41.099301,-72.3644194,3a,30y,37.65h,91.49t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1seRaHdulRCXOBzgHyNBx-Ig!2e0!7i13312!8i6656
