The Louisiana Steam Train Association has advertised that they will be part of a revenue freight run with their SP 745 later this month if appropriate funds are raised.
They're aiming for $10,000. Anything beyond that will go towards the engine's upcoming 1472.

Got curious after seeing some video of 745 running on their property back in August, but apparently the the freight run is still in the cards for LASTA.

Looking at their GoFundMe page, they've raised just north of $2,000.

Is anyone from this group available to say how much is needed for this run and how much will end up being left over for their 1472?

This question has nothing to do the planned operation, but I'm just wondering if this locomotive isn't getting close to it's 15-year limit on boiler inspection and Form 4.

From posts they've made, it would seem that they intend for the freight run to serve as a bit of a fundraiser. Kind of an unorthodox approach.
