To those who may be interested.

Friends of the Nevada State Railroad Museum in conjunction with the museum will host a hands-on rail camp this summer on August 2-5. Participants (limited to ten to insure plenty of hands on time) will be trained to operate and fire V&T 4-6-0 25, operate the museum's McKeen motorcar and the 1926 vintage Edwards motorcar.

This is the first time the museum has hosted a rail camp of this magnitude and the participants will rotate between the various equipment and the emphasis will be HANDS-ON participation.

The cost for this first ever camp is just less than a thousand bucks so for four days it's a pretty good deal. If you're interested you can call Adam Michalski, Curator of Education at the NSRM at 775-687-6953 x224 or on line at www.nsrm-friends.org .

A fun way to spend your tax refund and support a great railroad museum.
