To all,

Word has come through the preservation community, that William (Bill) Turvey has passed away.

He was active for many years in the Canadian railway preservation community. Amongst places where he was active were: West Coast Railway Association and Halton County Radial Railway. He will be missed.

I have no other details.

Perhaps if there is anyone with more information concerning funeral arrangements, perhaps they could pass them along.

My condolences to the Turvey family. Deepest sympathies on your loss.

Len T.

You've got your museums mixed up. Bill was president of the Elgin County Railway Museum in St. Thomas, Ontario for 12 years in the 90's and early 2000's. The last several years he was a volunteer and board member at Port Stanley Terminal Railway. He was never active at the WCRA and his volunteer work at Halton County Radial Railway was very limited.
