Try as I might, I can't hunt down the history of this car, though it looks to be a former P&LE/NYC design commuter coach. Info? Mind you, they've been pulling passenger cars out of this location for 18 years now........

UPDATE: Further review of the group at Facebook reveals it is, indeed, a P&LE car, and went to the Everett RR at Hollidaysburg, Pa.:

Alan has done really nice work with the cars he has, including making the steam heat work in 2018, which I'm guessing is no mean feat, so I expect the same high quality of restoration with these latest additions.

This car was in the way of a condominium development. We were approached by one of the contractors on site asking if we could take the car - and do so on relatively short notice. Our heavy haul trucking contractor, Daily Express, ran into numerous unforeseen difficulties securing a route, owing to bridge restrictions, but everyone involved bent over backwards to get the car out intact. It is a standard New York Central 70-foot coach built for subsidiary Pittsburgh & Lake Erie by the Pressed Steel Car Company. Beyond that, we don't know much about it, other than the interior was modified for subsequent use as retail space. The car is structurally sound and we look forward to its future restoration, after we finish a couple of CNJ coaches that are on the front burner.

The New York Central System Historical Society published some helpful history on these cars: https://nycshs.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/nycheavyweightcoacharticle.pdf

What is the number for this car?
And what is the status of the red combine and red (drovers?) caboose?

The red combine was relocated by a local real estate company for incorporation into a nearby redevelopment project. The drovers caboose was not involved in the recent move and is still in the same location.

We’ve heard the number of the P&LE coach may be 445, but do not know that for sure. I’ve looked over the car and have not seen any markings to confirm this. Perhaps as we get into the restoration we’ll run across a number. If anybody has better information, we'd like to hear it.
