As a follow up to the good news about the arrival of the V&T #11 Reno at the V&T Railroad; I would like to know what the burned cars#1 Express,#19 Coach looked like.

Some reports say damaged or simply burned and I have not been able to find any recent pictures.

Also, a second question; does the #11 Reno have an iron boiler? So it looks like the work to restore the 4-4-0 to operation will include a new boiler.

1872 specs show a steel boiler.

Since the boiler was in a fire, I would say the engine will get a new boiler before it can operate.

Found these, there seemed to be three damaged cars in a row at Old Tuscon but I'm not sure if they all burned or or if one just decomposed.

We were able to transport to Virginia City the 1872 CP built V&T box car frame and trucks 1001, converted by the SP into a blacksmith car and also 1873 C.P. built V&T Box car frame and trucks 1007, both used in the 1939 movie "Union Pacific" among many others, after a 12,000 mile nationwide tour promoting the movie in 1938. We were able to transport the 1875 Wells and French built Derrick or wrecking car #50. V&T Express coach #1 is gone except for the wheels, and perhaps the brake beams as is ex. Philadelphia and Reading coach, V&T coach 19. We did salvage a V&T hand car.

The thing on the right in the photos I posted earlier must be the #50 derrick, and also here is what the #1 express car looked like in 1983, both photos Mallory Hope Ferrell:

So sad, I just watched, "Tombstone" last night and saw that very car in that movie...
