Seeing the thread on Ramapo Rigid switch stands reminded me that I have a copy of the instructions for installing and adjusting one. I worked for MNJ Railway and part of the job was adjusting the stands when we replaced the timbers. I used a copy of the original instructions to get the switch in adjustment fairly quick using these instructions. The MNJ didn't have anything for the "safety stands" like the #20 on file. We used various models of the safety stands that were purchased or acquired after the abandonment of RR's in our area in the 1950's. They were all in service while I worked there and i never had to take one apart, so I'm no help in that regard. I'm offering this up in case someone needs to put one in service, or get it adjusted properly.
