Post subject:  Duluth & Northeastern 28

Rode behind the 28 last fall and noted that the valve timing was seriously off. Sounded uneven and the locomotive surged pretty badly, especially riding in the car right behind the engine. Anyone know if work has been done over the winter to correct this problem?
