Post subject:  John Emery Trust ready to Receive 2018 Grant Applications!

The web page of the John Emery Trust has been updated and is now ready to accept applications for grants for 2018. All applications must be in by February 1, 2018, and all grants will be paid out by the end of April, 2018. There are no matching funds required. Each non-profit group will need to go to the web site and register as a user, and once they have done that they will be able to submit their application, along with all their supporting documentation to help us find grant monies for them. You can upload documents directly to the web site, or email them to: reports@emeryrailheritagetrust.com
Please download and carefully read our instructions and rules regarding eligibility before filling out an application. The instructions are found on the web site.
The web site address is: http://emeryrailheritagetrust.com/
In addition, the Emery Rail Heritage Trust is working toward being able to help with funding for the application of PTC to currently operating steam engines in service where PTC is required. Each group that is interested in applying must do so via the website listed below. To qualify, a group must be a tax exempt non-profit, with a tax exempt number. Each group must own their locomotive, and the engine must be in operating condition, with an immediate need to be able to operate in PTC territory. This will be a multi-year funding project as we come closer to the PTC deadline. Each group will be eligible to receive grants from the Emery Trust each year until their PTC project is complete. All awards will be based on the application as submitted, with the target this year to be in the $20,000 to $30,000 range per locomotive, depending on applications received.
Please email Jim Fetchero at jfetch@aol.com with any questions you may have. Best of luck to each group.
