What does your museum or tourist railroad do best to attract millennials (or more specifically, young adults born between 1981 and 2000)? Not just volunteering, but actually getting them there to buy a ticket, spend some $ in the gift shop and stick around for an enjoyable experience. Thinking outside the box is surely key when trying to interest the current generation of young folks but feel free to share what has worked best for your institution :-)

With the revival of DC Streetcar, milennials living in the city are attracted to the "first generation" of streetcars. Our Museum focuses on Streetcar Communities by original route alignment and milennials are interested in what those neighborhood and corridors looked like more than 50 years ago.
