6 of our 7 SPV cars arrived in Washington DC this evening (11/15/19).

Zero issues other than some wheel scaling and minor flat spots from the shipment in freight service.

The ride was awesome BTW. They ride pretty nice. The seats suck after about an hour an a half though.

Gotta be better than converting a bi-level auto rack into a passenger-carrying obs car!

High capacity, low maintenance. (ducking for cover).

Other posts claim that they are to be included in a Polar Express train in Chicagoland.

Is this an SPV-2000? From the Chicago Polar Express website: https://www.chicagothepolarexpressride.com/faqs/

Yes, these cars are leased to the Polar Express in Chicago. Now that they are cleaned up and Amtrak certified, we are getting lots of inquiries into leasing them. There just aren't a lot of available coaches with all these Thomas/Polar events now.

They were supposed to go on the Autumn Colors Express, but we had some last min items that we just weren't able to complete in time.

PMC, yes, that is the current floorplan for our cars. The show is inside the cars, hence the seats all now facing towards the center of the car. And the removal of some for equipment and serving stations. We pulled everything out of the cars to do a deep clean and wax the floors, then put the seats back to the customers specifications.

Yes, would much rather ride an SPV than an auto rack passenger car lol

I love the weatherproof access for the air hose operator.
