What is the status of the derailed cars?

The RPO was re-railed the same day. I have not heard an official plan for the six axle heavyweight coach that wound up partially on its side.

I saw that track (and cars) in August. My opinion only, I thought the ties were in seriously rotted condition, and would have advocated for some serious ties work before attempting to move the cars. The cars are seriously ravaged. My thinking said they'd be scrapped in place. Since the NS is quite nearby, I'm wondering if the GG1's are going to be extracted from the other side. Taking weight distribution into account, I cannot imagine that track supporting two of those big locomotives.

I do hope we get a full report on how these problems were solved. I have to give credit to anyone who had the guts to attempt this move.
