Today I uploaded some photos I took back in 2009 of MKT coaches at the California State RR Museum, and in Colfax, CA.

CSRM has MKT #642 and #644, which are listed as built in 1923 by AC&F.

In researching the history of these cars, I was not able to find the number of the car now in Colfax, and I was also unable to locate info regarding the number of seats, whether these cars were chairs or coaches, and what Lot these cars were built in.

Here's what I was able to find out:

These 3 cars, plus a few others, numbers unknown, were used on the White Mountain Scenic operation, which ran over the Apache RR in Snowflake, AZ. On the steam side of things, White Mountain Scenic had 2 Mikados: Sierra RR #36 and Santa Maria Valley #100.

Later these 3 cars were privately owned. The #642 and #644 were donated by the Steward Family Trust to CSRM in 2001-2002. The third unidentified car was moved to Colfax sometime in the late 1970's, and is currently painted as SP #1865, next to the depot.

Can anyone provide info regarding the identity of the Colfax car, as well as the Lot and seating capacity of these 3 cars? Also, were these the only MKT coaches used on the White Mountain Scenic, if not, where did the other cars end up? Thanks in advance!

Here's the pictures I uploaded, just for comparison:

Note that the window arrangements and clerestory vent locations of the #642 and the Colfax car are identical, so the Colfax car is definitely from the same Lot as the #642 and #644.
