 Post subject: RGS #20 scanning

It's a shame that us NG fans didn't think ahead and organzie an effort to 3D scan every part as they were seperated from the assembled locomotive.

There are no blueprints for the #20 and this has limited the number and quality of every replica that has been built over the years. Having the parts scanned and in "solid model file"s would be a great resource for replica builders in all scales. It would also help in the next restoration, at some future date.

It might still be possible to scan all the parts, and to arrange for a 3D scanning svc. or 3D scanner manufacturer to help the effort in exchange for using the #20 in thier advertising.
