9/29/13 - Updating an old thread...

An 8-minute video about the Sunbeam. The video talks about the car's purpose at the Hildene museum, and includes a few shots of the restoration work being done.

Video's producers wrote:
"This is a video we made for Hildene, a museum in Vermont that was the home of Robert Todd Lincoln.
The son of a President, Lincoln served as President of the Pullman Railcar Company for most of his career.
We wrote, photographed and edited this video for our colleagues at Rolling Stock Pictures."

That car has to be the most beautiful example of craftsmanship in such a vehicle that I have ever seen.

Nicely done video. Wish that they had mentioned where they acquired the set of 6 wheel trucks for the car.

I went to the website of the company that produced this documentary and noticed a few videos posted. One is a different video on the Sunbeam, and it answers the question about where the trucks were acquired. Link below:

Thanks very much Lucien. Of course, it makes me wonder about the "derelict car" in Wisconsin where they found the set of trucks!

They ain't a'gonna tell you Les, 'cause if they're off a Soo Line work car, they are likely Barney & Smith trucks.
