Just a note that has been for sale on eBay for well over 8 months. I have no idea on the maker so best of luck. |

Looking for Mary Tompkins of Hastings, Nebraska, I found this link to a history of the Naval Ammunition Depot on the Adams County Nebraska Historical Society's web site: http://www.adamshistory.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=30&Itemid=42 The article mentions a LaVerne L. Tompkins, killed with seven others on April 6, 1944, by an explosion in the mine and bomb loading area. Maybe Mary was related to LaVerne. -Mark |
