OK, OK, but you only get two out of three. Steam in the shop would rust the tools.

Does the possibility exist for any off-season steam freights? Or if the load is too much for 8618 will you just split the consist into multiple trips?

And is there any way to get some heads up next time? ;)

#89 Will be pulling a mixed freight this Saturday, leaving at 2:15 pm. We will have both outbound and inbound freight cars to deliver.

Accomodations will be one coach at $15.00, and a caboose (six seats only) at $20.00. Tickets will be available in advance on our web site, and at the ticket office on the day of the trip.

Reports (as well as photos/videos posted) are coming in that 2-10-0 #90 was at the helm of a steam-powered inbound freight this morning in Strasburg, for the first time this year. A fun one-off trip? Or the start of something more regular?

Big Jim, it was a one-off. We had a slug of inbounds delivered @ 0200 hours Sunday morning, and we had a bunch of switching to do, so it made business sense.

If we have enough lead time to predict these things, and the ability to make it a mixed train, we'll try to let you all know. It came on top of a busy Easter weekend, for which we are so indebted to our patrons ...

Your mileage may vary ...
