Correction:

243. Omaha Club at RailsWest RR Museum, Council Bluffs, IA

This is not a former Pullman-owned car, but is instead CB&Q #215 Omaha Club (2nd), ex-Minneapolis Club* (1st), nee-Minneapolis, a dinette lounge solarium observation, built by Pullman in March 1928 in Lot #6114.

*(This car should not be confused with the Minneapolis Club/Lago Manso mentioned in an earlier post.)

It was previously incorrectly listed as...

Omaha Club (Lot #6274, Plan #3989A/T, 1929/42, 8S-rest-lng-sol, CRI&P)--sold to SP&S (1948) renamed to Mount Jefferson (1949) to baggage-RPO #41 (1960)

So, line item #243 is now blank/void.

Update:

229. Seneca Valley (Lot #6356, Plan #3988A/E/F/G/H, 1930, 1DR-1SB-buf-lng-obs, Southwestern Limited)--sold to Royal American Shows (1956) later resold to Hollywood RR Station Museum, Hollywood, FL (19??) scrapped 2017

As previously discussed in this thread, the Seneca Valley was part of the fiasco regarding misuse of funds intended to restore it and a few other cars for the Dorothy M. Bush Museum.

In the Surviving Passenger Cars group on Facebook, in a post from August 2020 regarding the restored Tonawanda Valley at the Danbury RR Museum (line item #204), it was reported that the Seneca Valley had been scrapped in situ in 2017 by the FEC during that road's ownership change.

True, that. They’ve been on the scrap docket for quite a while as they were in very bad condition, dangerous, a critter hangout, and stripped of most usable stuff. For keeping score, they were originally PRR Parkesburg and Trenton.
As reported earlier in this thread, the 2 ex-PRR Pullman 12-1's that ORHS inherited in the Dabo acquisition were indeed scrapped:

415. Trenton (Lot #4894, Plan #3410A, 1925, 12S-1DR, PRR, ex-Paul Revere)--sold to PRR #8899 (1948) renamed (1951) to MofW #492908 (1962) resold to Dabo, Inc., Orrville, OH (19??) to Orrville RHS (2015) scrapped in January 2021

416. Parkesburg (Lot #4894, Plan #3410A, 1925, 12S-1DR, PRR, ex-Martha Washington)--sold to PRR #8868 (1948) renamed (1951) to MofW #492859 (1962) resold to Dabo, Inc., Orrville, OH (19??) to Orrville RHS (2015) scrapped in January 2021

Update:

394. Paul Jones (Lot #4894, Plan #3410A, 1925, 12S-1DR, PRR)--sold to PRR #8898 (1948) to MofW #492896 (1962) later sold to Indiana Transportation Museum, Noblesville, IN (19??) moved to Logansport, IN (2019) scrapped in April 2021

395. Poor Richard Club (Lot #6361, Plan #3992A/E/F/G/H, 1930, plr [13]-rest-lng, PRR)--sold to PRR #7010 (1945) to MofW #27001 (1956) later sold to Indiana Transportation Museum, Noblesville, IN (19??) moved to Logansport, IN (2019) scrapped in April 2021

Fallout of the ongoing ITM saga. These 2 cars had been stored off-site in Noblesville for years; a move of the cars to Logansport couldn't save them from the torch.

These cars all come from Herman Page's Pullman list of July 1999. None have been discussed before in this thread. The info is now 22 years old, but if anyone has info on if any of these cars are still extant today, either at the locations listed from back then or elsewhere, that would be most appreciated! (Same goes on if any scrapping dates are known for now-gone cars in the below listing.)

Manufacturers' Club (Lot #6274, Plan #3989A/U, 1929, 8S-buf-sol-lng-obs, PRR)--sold to PRR #8624 (1948) to MofW #492389 (1957) later resold to Ron Jedlicka and located at Buckeye Steel Car, Columbus, OH (19??)
I inquired about these cars in the Surviving Passenger Cars group as well, and someone replied that the Manufacturers' Club had been located for some time in Newark, OH, back around the same timeframe as Page's report of the car being in Columbus. I did some searching, and I had been thinking that perhaps the location given for the car in Columbus, Buckeye Steel Car, had been a scrapping outfit, but it turns out that it was instead a casting foundry, later Columbus Castings, and now closed in the last several years.

A "Where Is It Now?" Car:

Crystal Beach (Lot #6125, Plan #3959A, 1928, 3C-2DR-lng-obs, Overland Limited)--renamed to Golden Beach (1937, Golden State)--sold to EJ&E safety instruction Mt. Safe-J (1955)

I have never seen mention of this car still being extant somewhere, nor have any recent pictures turned up, but given that some other cars that the EJ&E owned are still indeed around (the ex-B&LE combine #25 and the Dover Strait [line item #19] at IRM, for example), did the Mr. Safe-J also survive through to the present day?

Could this be it? I haven't figured out what Mr. Safe J's number was, 40 could be a guess by the new owner: https://www.flickr.com/photos/n8myc/402 ... otostream/
https://www.flickr.com/photos/n8myc/402 ... otostream/

The caption says "Bob McGilvray Jr.
DuBois, Pennsylvania (2 of 2)
Elgin, Joliet & Eastern (EJ&E) 40
I'm not sure of this cars planned usage. At least it wasn't gutted like the others, but then again, if you own it, you can do whatever you want to it.

Dr Doolittle's Roadside Café & Creamery

GPS coordinates... 41.135342, -78.778070"

Looks similar to Mr. Safe-J from 1965: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPi ... id=3533250

Edit: just noticed the truss rod, so that probably is not it.

An update on the cars at Crane NSWC. I've been informed that the two MILW cars were scrapped sometime during 2020, which would lead me to believe that the heavyweight stored with those two was also scrapped.

As for the wrecked car, it's at these coordinates 38.835490, -86.819747. From what I understand, which is something that the satellite imagery doesn't show, is that the car went into reasonably deep ditch, making it diffcult to remove the car.

Yeah, EJ&E #40 is clearly a wood business car, not the Mr. Safe-J...interesting that the EJ&E #40 should come up at the same time that the #50 came up in another thread.

What are all the rail facilities in the near vicinity of the coordinates you specified?

I inquired about these cars in the Surviving Passenger Cars group as well, and Wil Hata replied with a photo from 2014 which would indicate that the Angeline is/was still indeed at the MRHF, so it warrants a line item number, for the record.

In the Surviving Passenger Cars group, Jacob Carey posted an update that the above car Angeline was scrapped at MRHF several years ago. As the car is not extant, line item #483 is hereby instead voided.
